Can I drink alcohol and lose weight?
The short answer is: YES. Yes, you can lose weight for the last time without giving up alcohol.
I have a client who told me she never lost weight because she didn't think it was possible.
She didn't think it was possible because she didn't want to give up a alcohol. Every one had always told her that in order to be successful with her weight she had to let go of her vodka martinis.
LET ME BE CLEAR: you do not have to give up your favorite glass of Rose in order to lose weight.
In fact, I actually don't recommend it.
It is too much for our brains if we let go of something like processed sugar AND alcohol.
I am not saying you can't do it if you realllllly want to.
But for most of us giving up alcohol and certain foods will send us into the land of over-restriction. Which will then create over-desire. Which will then create over drinking and over eating. Which then creates over restriction again.
Enter: yoyo life.
