The Food Fairy
Has the Binky Fairy come to your house?
She came to mine a few months back.
My 2 year old daughter was ADDICTED to her pacifier.
Any emotion she felt she solved with her binky. She was needy. Nothing else really mattered. Borderline desperate.
So the Binky fairy came and took her Binky.
She was PISSED. Even though there was an Elsa doll in exchange, she was flipping the eff out.
For about an hour.
Then. TOTAL LIBERATION.
I couldn't believe it.
Her behavior literally changed before my own eyes.
She became relaxed, free and even happier.
And this took an even stronger hold as the days went on.
I thought hmmmm.
This is exactly what food is like for some of my clients.
It is EVERYTHING.
They rely on it to solve their emotional problems. To make them feel better. To make the party fun. To cure the boredom. To ease the stress. To exhale. Food is literally their binky. I could see this so clearly because I have so been there.
But here is the problem. Food is a really crappy solver of problems. It doesn’t actually solve the problem in the first place and it can make us feel like crap, and make us fatter or stay the same if we have weight loss goals.
When my clients give up their wubby they learn the skill of having their own back. Of taking care of themselves in a way that serves them. Of feeling their feelings instead of eating them. Of weighing their dream weight.
When the food is taken away as an escape or a buffer and is just used as fuel, my clients get to experience PURE FREEDOM.
Food is not your binky, people.
I can teach you exactly how to do this. And I will even throw in an Elsa doll. Or Ana. Your pick.
