Unpopular Opinion: The scale is not the problem. The scale is actually my favorite for two reasons.
One - it IS actually a pretty good measuring device and helps us to see if we are going where we want to. Two - it is a mirror into our own thoughts about ourselves.
And if you know me, you know how important I think thoughts are. Once we see these toxic thoughts we can actually clean them up. It is not like by not seeing these thoughts we are not having them, they are still running through our subconscious and creating toxicity around our value, our worth and who we are. My guess is this episode will break your brain and help you take your power back and stop delegating your mood to the scale!

Our mailman was shot and murdered yesterday in broad daylight less than 100 feet from our house, literally right across the street. My brain offered food as the solution. The next bio hack is here. But it isn't a gimmick. Continuous Glucose Monitoring is all the rage for a reason. Monitoring your glucose can give you so many insights into your health and help you lose weight for the last time. I use levels to monitor my blood glucose and some of my clients have used and recommend NutriSense. In the past I have also used auvon to intermittently check my blood glucose levels.

Other People’s Opinions of What You Eat
Is it hard for you to stick to your plan because of what other people might say? Does your partner give you a hard time? Do you tend to eat something because you don’t want to make anyone feel bad? Do you feel like you don’t really know how to say no politely? Are you scared of other people judging or thinking badly about you for what you eat or don't eat?
This is totally normal. I get it.And it is not serving us and our goals. Other people are just not a good reason to eat in a way that does not serve us. Rethinking Restriction
We are told restriction is bad. That we shouldn't do it. That we should be able to eat what we want when we want without any negative consequences. So then we don't restrict. But where does that leave us? Well feeling like sh*t for one. We also end up gaining weight, becoming more unhealthy and having little to no energy. In this episode we look at restriction and why it might serve us. Why it might be positive. Why a normal amount of restriction might help us get to our dream weight. We also look at how restriction serves us in almost all other areas of our lives. This episode is a mind blower. Listen in.

How to Set a Goal
This is your one stop shop for setting a goal for the new year- especially if you want to crush that goal. If you are someone who has been turned off by words like "goal" or "resolution" but you still want to create amazing things in your life - this episode is for you! This will help you if you want to lose weight for the last time! The easy steps I promised are right here:
Write down everything that you want and pepper in things that you want that you already have (create from an abundance mindset!)
Pick one big thing from your list for your 2021 goal. Only one. Trust me!
Write down your reasons as to why you want to achieve this goal, you have to make this juicy! Like really juicy! Go for 20! They have to move you, compel you, light you up!
Write down exactly what you will do and not to do get there! This is your plan! You can change it if is not working - but only once a month - go all in on what your plan is for at least a month!
Write your goal down everyday, write a why that lights you up down everyday and then write anything you need to do on that day to get you there! Remember put this in the first person, present tense with a deadline (I am going to start calling these alivelines!)

I talked a little bit about discomfort in episode 1, but I know you need to hear this, so I’m devoting this episode to talking about discomfort and what it means in your journey of losing weight for the last time.
Human brains are creations of duality. The “conscious mind,” the desire to use rational thought and self-improve, finds discomfort when things stay the same. The “unconscious mind” in the back of the brain, which exists solely to seek pleasure, avoid pain, and maximize its efficiency in doing so, finds discomfort in change — and it’s the reason why losing weight is so difficult.
Each of us must choose which discomfort we intend to face. Life coach Brooke Castillo says, “discomfort is the currency for your dreams. [It] is the discomfort that is required for us to change, to be in unfamiliar situations, to have our identity shifting, to be in a body that's thinner than we recognize.”
Think about it: if you’re going to experience discomfort either way, why not experience the discomfort that improves your quality of life?
