I don't have time....

If you are a human and you are reading this, my bet is you often have the thought:

“I don’t have enough time” or “I’m too busy” to lose weight.

When your brain tells you that you don’t have enough time it is a lie.

Of course you have time. You have all the time in the world.

Now, stay with me. (I know you want to tell me all the things on your plate and prove to me you really are

the busiest ever, especially right now ;)). But, stay.

It’s no wonder your brain tells you this because your brain would much rather continue to scroll than

journal about your health so that you lose weight for the last time.

It would much rather putter around the house than actually take one small action toward your goal.

It would much rather grab a quick handful of nuts than sit down and write.

The above is pleasurable and easy for your brain. Sitting down to write for 5 minutes is hard for your brain.

Your brains job: seek pleasure, avoid pain, and do it as efficiently as possible. Which translates to: scrolling,

piddling, eating nuts, fill in the blank procrastination activity.

So good news: you have a normally operating brain.

Also good news: You are not your brain. There is you and there is your brain. Your job is to be in charge of

your brain, not the other way around.

I know you’re busy, I know your plate is full and ALSO: You have all the time in the world.

This is really true. If it can be true for me, it can be true for you.

Just try on this Truth for one week.

The truth that you have all the time in the world. Or that you can handle it. Or that it will all get taken care of.

When you start to try these thoughts on you start to believe them and then you create them,

If losing weight for the last time is one of the most important things for you, let your actions reflect that.

Scrolling is not going to help you create that. But journaling from a place of love about what you ate, why

and what you want tomorrow to look like — will.

It’s up to you and you alone. Be in charge of that brain.

Step one: never ever believe the lie you don’t have time to lose weight ever again.

Step two: start practicing the thought, I have all the time in the world.

Our thoughts create our reality. Choose your thoughts wisely.
