Don’t be so rude.
A few weeks ago I was on the phone with my website designer, I was just asking her to make a few small edits on my website.
Towards the end of our call she said something like, you know it might be time for a website redesign.
She told me why it would be good for me. How it could help me help my clients.
She said she could do this for me.
She said she could help me.
She told me how much it would cost.
This all during the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak.
I was ALL IN.
I was like DUH. I need this. This is going to be awesome.
But you guys. Unless she had SOLD me on this wonderful idea I would not have thought of it myself.
I literally can’t even believe I was operating without this amazing website.
I am over the moon excited she SOLD me on this.
I needed it soooo badly and I didn’t even know it.
Thank god she SOLD me.
She helped me so much.
This is proof that it is selfish and rude to not make our offers to our people.
I learned so much from her.
Lesson:
I don’t dare let my own BS get in the way of telling other people I can help them.
Even if it is scary to tell people I can help them.
Even if my brain tells me I shouldn’t sell in a crisis.
Even if I am worried they might say no or get mad at me.
It is our responsibility to tell people we can help them. To offer our talent. To make our contribution to the world.
How will you contribute?
