Does your brain, brain?

This is what it sounds like when your brain, brains....

"You shouldn't spend this amount of money on yourself.

This is frivolous.

You don't deserve this.

What are people going to think?

Do it on your own.

You know how to do this, get your shit together.

You have already spent so much on this.

Are you crazy?"

As one of my bad ass colleagues says, "brains gonna brain".

You have two choices.

  1. Believe your brain and live a mediocre life. One where you survived.

  2. Challenge your brain and live the best life ever. One where you thrived.

Your brain's job is to get you to survive. Your job is to THRIVE.

Which means you are have to actively disagree with your brain and take action in the opposite of what it wants you to do.

Don't be mad at your brain. It is doing what it thinks it is supposed to be doing.

So if you want to lose weight for the last time your brain is going to try to talk you out of it. That is par for the course. Do it any way. That is.... if you want to thrive. If you want to finally feel like yourself. If you want to have fun getting dressed. If you want to heal your relationship with yourself and food so you can pass it down to your daughter or son.
